General

The 2nd Waarschoot Othello Open will be held on Saturday June 24th. More information can be found in the sections below. Questions and remarks can be sent to the organisation. This tournament is part of the Belgian Grand Prix 2017 and the Foreigners Grand Prix 2017.

We are intending to play outside. In case of bad weather we will foresee an alternative. The tournament is organised at Tom Schotte's place, but everyone is very welcome to join. The idea is to have a cousy tournament and we will end with a BBQ.

Subscriptions

We would appreciate upfront subscriptions. In this way we are sure to foresee a sufficient number of boards, clocks, drinks and food. Of course it remains possible to show up unexpectedly. There are several ways to subscribe:

Concept

Main event: 7 Swiss rounds (everyone faces opponent with the same amount of wins - as much as possible). The clocks will be set to 15 minutes for every player. There is a final between the two highest ranked players. There is a 'play-down' between the winner of the B event and the last player of the main event.
