Roel Hobo wins 11th Antwerp Othello Open 15 May 2016

15 players gathered at the Music Acamdemy of Ekeren to participate the 11th Antwerp Othello Open. The weather was not good enough to play outside, so the tournament was played inside one of the class rooms. Roel Hobo claimed victory with 6.5/7, only allowing a draw against Rosalinde de Boer. The latter played an excellent tournament ans finished 5th. Runner-up became Tom Schotte, who fought back after starting with 1/3 (30-34 against Roel Hobo and 33-31 against Josbert van de Zande). Nick Reunes got third after lossed against the top 2.

Frank Ivo Damme, father of Jan Van Damme, won the B tournament undefeated. This makes him the oldest winner ever of a Belgian tournament at the respectable age of 83. Very well done!
