5th ReuzeSpelPlezier Othello Open attracts 7 Othello enthousiast
14 October 2022For the fifth time our federation gathered in game shop ReuzespelPlezier for an evening tournament. A perfect moment for the Belgian team qualified for the World Othello Championship in two weeks to play some on-the-board games. Ralph Reijnders, Nick Reunes and Nadja de Moor took that opportunity. Also shop owners Ruben Soetens and Silke Porrez joined the tournament. One new player, Kurt Staelens, was kindly introduced to the game and joined as well.
For the top places, the seeding was not respected. Nick Reunes defeated both Tom Schotte and Ralph Reijnders and won his 6th Othello tournament in Belgim. For the rest of the field, the order was respected. Ruben Soetens claimed once again the title of best player of Zottegem. Kurt Staelens did his very best, but did not manage to win a game.
